1.0.26 & what’s next

No they have started many times that this can’t be done. It is a hardware issue and not software 4 corner correction over HDMI / USB-c won’t ever be possible with this device.

What they mean is if you tend to use the PPM in multiple rooms but it is always in the same place when using Android you would be able to create the 4 corner correction and then save it. So if for your living room it is always off to the left on a table you can save that setup instead of always having to go through the 4 corner correction everytime you put it in your living room. You would be able to create multiple rooms or profiles and make it easier to move it around when on wifi.

@Philips_Support_P On a software note it would be great if we can pair the 4 corner correction with the color adjustments that are coming so that you can create a profile per room

I think you mean horizontal keystone cannot be done. However vertical keystone can be done. Right now its automatic. Just asking for manual controls on it. @Philips_Support_P mention in the other thread that it was inadvertently taken out and that they will add it back in

I was responding to yim68’s question you are correct they did say that manual verticle keystone can be done but needs to be re-added.

Yep that’s definitely something that would be great, also making sure that the processing is completely turned off (for a 1:1 pixel mapping) when V keystone is disabled.

This is probably One of the most expected feature (+color adjustments as overlay +adaptative fan speed)

What are the chances to get this update (with or without the Chinese system team) soon?
I volunteer to be a beta tester if any!

To be honest if the color issue is not solved in the next 2 or 3 weeks, I will be forced to send my ppm back and ask for a refund. I’m really hoping to avoid this…

Thanks for the update.

Any chance of you preloading a working version of HBO?

What about a possiblity to trigger Focus Lock Quickly from autofocus menu and Display 24HR time without seconds!

Then there are some DRM problems With some apps and Airplay2/ChromeCast

How long you plan to improve software of the PPM? I mean fix bugs and add new features.

HBO have different apps for different regions, preloading for one region would be annoying for all other regions.

Form FAQs:
We are supporting this device for 2 years and several FOTA updates will be launched.

@imdevu thanks
@Philips_Support_P when will start this 2 years period? When PPM will go to stores or half of year already spent?

Please… explain what " … will be launched" means. … when I’ll receive it? When the first PPM was shipped? 2019? 2020?.. In the worst case I have (as ID 14060) very unlucky!!!

Hi, the support period (and your warranty period) begins when you receive your device.

If you got a defective unit and returned it within the return window (30 days), your warranty will begin from the day you get the working replacement.

Since there’s a delay on Philips side in picking up defective units, we are extending the above rule to be valid as long as your return was approved within the return window even if not picked up yet.

Thanks for the update.

Any chance this update will bring some improvements to the “untriggered back to home” issue several of us are facing?

If not, seeing the update releases rate, it means at least one more month (probably more) without being able to use the PPM. Should it be the case, I’d have to go for a refund request which would be a shame because I really like the device (at least during the slices of 5 minutes allowing me to watch movies).

This is mainly because offices in China have been closed for almost 1 month. I’m hoping to make a quick-fix in the next update to disable the touchpad, which I think is the source of the problem. And if confirmed to be due to hardware, these units will be recalled and replaced.

A real option to disable the touch controls would be helpful for those that don’t really use them and be a inconvenience when positioning the projector

@Philips_Support_P @Philips_Support_N for a future software update i would like to have an even darker mode than the Energysave as an option. Something like “night mode”. I use the Picopix Max on my ceiling in the bedroom and even in energysave mode I find it too bright.
