IR learning for power button of remote

Has anyone been able to do IR learning for power button of PPX remote to a thirdparty remote?

i managed to dump the IR codes but the power button is a pain. turning it on always works but turning it off (same command) works very randomly

I was able to map it on my remote but it only works for turning it on but not off.

Have you tried turning it off with the remote while blocking the IR diode?
