Good to know this last part, because it means the fan itself is not dead, but there’s something causing intermittent functioning (more often not working than working).

I managed to update to fw 1.1.0. Fan still does not work.
PPM switches off randomly (Battery Status: 96%), although plugged into power.
Overheating should not be the reason after one minute. Device now cooled externally with a small
desktop fan. Body did not feel hot when switching off. Did not switch off so fast when only on battery.
The new fw looks really good and shows a significant improvement with performance.
But my PPM is a hot candidate for replacement. I will put it back in the box and adress support the next days.
Hope, I do not have to wait another 6 month. Don’t forget, I fell in love with this tiny little magic box.
