Does your projector display a black bar that moves from bottom to top repeatedly rendering 3D option useless?

The black bar is happening to me consistently when screening ‘sider-by-side’ 3D (e.g., streaming from VUDU), but not when setting to frame packing 3D (e.g., playing a 3D Blu Ray).
