Lights off but curtains open and quite bright outside
Some routers block multicast DNS packets. For example TP Link WiFi repeaters with recent firmware versions have this problem.
I do have the same problem. It is not urgent, since I use hdmi. Therefor I postponed it until anybody else “activates” the thread again.
None of my apple devices regocnizes the ppm as airplay monitor.
They are in the same network and I followed all instructions written in this forum already.
I only can imagine that it is blocked from the router - as written from Philipps - since my ppm only works with the guest account of my router. It does not dial in at my normal home network (my wife has the same problem with her android phone, that was so far the only reason why I had the guest network online anyway.
So there are two questions:
- Is there a chance that the router stops blocking it?
- or better: How does my ppm work with my home network? So question 1 is perhaps solved and I would feel more safe anyway
