Auto Hide Mouse Cursor

With an autohiding mouse cursor after f.e. 3 seconds, questions like mine from below would be obsolete

Deactivate Mouse Cursor?

One press on the remote activates the mouse cursor - So far so good. But how can I hide it? When selecting a video with the mouse cursor I have to fiddle all the time with the remote to move the cursor as much as possible outside the picture (and then putting the remote realy carefully on the table etc) [Bild]

More like auto-hide and auto-disable maybe?
Just hiding it won’t prevent it to reappear if your remote is somewhere it can move like the couch

It will if you do this:

Just press a cursor button, left, right, up, or down, and it will disappear right away.

I had some trouble with this while playing videos on Amazon Prime. Pressing an arrow would highlight some other icon…

True, but after a few seconds the GUI fades out again.
