ETA for next Beta?

I hope I’m wrong, but I honestly don’t expect any major updates anymore at this point since they’re already talking about working on future products in the public threads. (I’d already be happy if we at least had a way to store the settings of the obviously abandoned color calibration app if they don’t end up including it in the main software as originally planned.)

Devs gone awol ?

What is in the pipe right now ?

A fix for the 4 Corner Adjustment - Linearity Distortion has finally been implemented. It’s now actually 5-corner correction. They’re working on the improved UI now. The beta should be available together with Launcher 1.5 soon.

The main issue is that the RGB values are burned into the kernel so if you change the brightness mode, or plug in the charger, your settings will be overwritten.

Because of concern about thermal stability we don’t want to give regular users the ability to directly modify LED power.

What do you think about a save/load feature in the adjustment app?

Yes, sure, that would already be great and what I was hoping for. It shouldn’t be too difficult to code, I guess, and would save users the annoying trouble of having to set it again and again.

This is now being implemented.

Firmware update eta ?

Well, the beta is out for testing already.
IMHO, if we want a stable firmware update we do have to wait for the beta version to be tested (and have its bugs fixed)

Ok and we are the beta? Or is there a pre-beta group ?

No, as mentioned in a public thread, Dragos confused the new launcher with the OS. The new OS beta hasn’t been made available yet.

Hello Ppm Dev team,

Just to be curious, do you communicate about the main ideas you’re working on for this year ?

I think it would be cool to share some updates on things to come

Any new beta soon?

This is now being implemented.

After eight months, is there any new info on whether the save settings feature will ever indeed become available for the color calibration app?

Hi @Jano, better late than never: the development is completed and we are testing it now. In all probability it’ll be available in the Beta Lounge this week.

Woah! Sounds good! That’s something I definitely didn’t expect to happen anymore. Looking forward to it, thanks!

Hi Prashant, any update on when it will be uploaded?

Hi @Jano Thanks for waiting! Could you please try this version of the Screeneo Colour Adjustment app? If you go further below the RGB settings you will find options to load/save the settings into two user slots. Let me know if this helps.

Remember that colour settings are reset to the hardcoded values when plugging/unplugging the charger, or changing the brightness mode from the Settings app. You’ll need to return to the Colour Adjustment app and load one of your own settings in this case.

Ah, finally! Yes, thanks a lot! The app is MUCH better than the old one. The save and load function works without problems and the new version also doesn’t cause the fan to speed up (without going back to silent sometimes) anymore. Big improvement!

@Philips_Support_P any work being done on being able to save preset room settings like keystone and 4 corner correction. I know at one point it was a feature that was talked about.

I believe the idea was to be able to save a setup so if you have to move it from a room and back to a spot your wouldn’t have to adjust everything but could just reload the saved adjustments
