When seated in a darkened room in anticipation of projected entertainment, the bright white Philips splashscreen when turning on the projector can be quite jarring, if not blinding the eyes. It would be great if there could be (an option to use) a darker splashscreen.
Something more neutral would be enough but I guess this is their branding so it might not happen.

I agree, that would be nice to have a darker splash screen. I haven’t looked at the current ROM but that may be tweakable.
