Shipping to Mother Russia. New tax has arising

Hmm, that sounds bad.

And what’s about another services: UPS, DPD, CDEK?

There were only 15 in DHL Express, the rest are being sent through Russian Line via train. It takes a little longer, however this is apparently the safest method to get through customs. We’re scrambling now to add these 15 to Russian Line via train.

Great as long as customs clearance takes place before the new lower duty free limits kick in.

Can you please say which id’s was sent through DHL? Are all of them received emails with track info already?

No email and no update in backerkit, however was in the list of 15.

Train from HK? Are you kidding? It’s not a little longer - it’s OMG HOW LONGER. One or two months?

They say 3 weeks, but 60 units should have left already.
Chinese are saying it’s the only way.
It’s the 15 units that are being returned by DHL that risk to be late.
Any recommendations for confirmed faster shipping methods are welcome.

Theses are the backer numbers of the 15 units returned from DHL:

15583400,15588127, 15594978, 15727971, 16949109, 15805561, 15875023, 16073920, 16077338, 16080108, 16096356, 16115602, 16115604, 16205714, 16258101

The slow part is Russia itself by train and customs clearance. This is where things get real slow.
China has very fast train services. But once you get into Russia you have no fast train services.
Critical for us is at what point customs will be cleared.

Well. Since you asked… DHL can do this with DHL Parcel International Direct by DHL e-Commerce division that allows shipping up to 20 kg parcels. It ships to Russia but only as DDU (Duties and Taxes Paid by the receiver - which is how you do it anyway).
The info is on their website:
https://www.dhl.com/hk-en/home/our-divisions/ecommerce/shipping/international-shipping.html

And here is pdf with more info on their website:
https://www.dhl.com/content/dam/dhl/local/us/dhl-ecommerce/documents/pdf/us-ecommerce-parcel-international-direct.pdf

But frankly I would expect transit times to be slower than advertised as in Russia they use partners for this and those partners are slow.
I see this with all of my DHL deliveries I gave example of above. They move fast until they are handed over to Russian Post. And once in Russian Post hands it gets unpredictably slow. I had anything from several days to a couple of months to deliver once DHL hands over to Russian Post. That was with DHL Global Mail but I suspect it is a similar story with DHL e-Commerce.

Thanks for information. When we can get tracks for other 60 units?

Gee from southern china all the way to the north, then through the trans-siberian railway, that’s one train journey I always wanted to do, I’m so envious of these 60 units of ppm

I was always wondering why don’t you just send to Philips warehouses located in each country and then use local delivery

I don’t know how this train will go, but all of heavy-weight parcels I got from Aliexpress go through Kazakhstan which is about 2-2.5 months. Hope it’s not otherwise I will receive projector in somewhere August-September.

It’s true. Once 10 years ago I was sent goods from Vladivostok by special carrier. It takes 2 weeks. But it was really special carrier.

@Philips_Support_N try to find something in the Russian Railways services https://www.rzdlog.com/services/international_transit/

6 days from Beijing to Moscow with possibility for custom clearance

For the 15 units that could not be delivered by DHL, our team in China is working hard to find the fastest way to get these products back to you. We have given them your recommendations for DHL Parcel International Direct and the Russian Train express service. They are checking into these services.
