The colours are not proper. RED looks PINK, Yellow looks Orange.
Hey, you can find more info on what’s coming in the next update here.
Are you on the latest firmware version?
There has been some color calibration improvement on the last firmware release last week.
You can also try to reduce the saturation to 45% in image setting.
- Are you using the projector in Presentation mode?
- Have you upgraded to software version 1.0.25?
- Try reducing the saturation (Projector Settings > Image > Color Adjustments > Saturation), maybe to 45% or even lower.
It is 1.0.25 firmware. I already set the saturation to 45%. I feel, Normal mode is better than presentation mode.
Only Normal mode and energy saver were changed and calibrated in the latest firmware.
They left Presentation mode untouched to retain the brightness which I think make sense.
Personally, I don’t think I’ll be using presentation mode for watching properly unless I’m in a very bright place and just want to watch videos casually.
can i calibrate the colors myself ?
Not yet, but that will be coming in a future update.
That’s not quite correct, you can adjust the colors using built in tools, although it’s not very easy to judge what you’re doing using reference images or material.
Have a look here: INFO: How to improve internal video picture quality?
The tool to do that is available to beta testers and will be available to the general public in the near future, which is what Sebastian was referring to.
