You will automatically received your tracking number by email this week"
Two weeks later, no tracking number received.
You don’t realize how harmful it is for your company’s image. My TV is Philips, my trimmer is Philips, my plugs are Philips, my bulbs are Philips. If you continue treating me, your clients, like this, nothing I will purchase in the future will be Philips. You can be sure of that!
Cargo flights are not reduced in the UAE, and yet nobody cares sending us the goods we paid for. Coronavirus is one thing, but when it comes to not following up on backers orders, it is just being absolutely not professional.
I understand the frustration but you should be aware that when you backed the PPM, it was not like purchasing your trimmer, TV, plugs or bulbs. It was a crowdfunder for an unfinished product. They aren’t just taking your PPM off a shelf and sending it to you.
Delays are par for the course with this, they were definitely struck with a longer one pre-corona but we are now in a global pandemic. This isn’t a small event and doesn’t affect production in simple ways - their factories being closed means they’re behind in production but also in ramping up production, they are working on established a second assembly line.
Cargo flights to UAE may not be cancelled but they’ll most likely be prioritising cargo such as medical supplies over consumer electronics and remember the PPM will be being made from parts being sent from elsewhere - those factories may be dealing with shortages or there may be logistics issues getting from that factory to the Phillips/Screeneo one.
It’s not ideal but a lot of it is outwith anyones control - at least you must be close if you’re getting emails already. I don’t know when I’m getting mine but it’ll be a while yet and I backed a long time ago too.
Hello, we received an email this morning from DHL Germany:
" Because the street name and street number are in the same cell in the recipient address column, we had to manually split them into two columns, and the address, zip code and city had to be checked.
For example, in the address table, some addresses have the street and city written upside down, the postcode format is wrong, and the street name is missing letters. All kinds of situations make it impossible for us to directly import the express system and print the tracking number.
We had to query for modifications individually for each address, which took a very long time. Anyway, we will try our best to print the tracking number today, please check the email today, thank you!"
We checked the file they used, which is the one extracted directly from Backerkit and it’s true that a lot of backers made mistakes when they filled the backerkit. Address Line 1 and Line 2 are very important and some backers added something else. Now DHL is checking one by one. They told us they will finish to check today.
@Philips_Support_N Care to explain why you’ve skipped the UK forgotton backers from this batch?
It’s not because we’re no longer in the EU , because we are in a transition period whereby NOTHING changes, especially trade.
When your team does decide to finally do the job properly and send to the backers that have been forgotton twice despite backing in August, I guarantee you it will be going via the Germany hub anyway, as most international packages from China will go to a hub like this . So there is literally no reason for us to be left out other than a mistake on Screeneos part so man up and admit it rather than shifting blame on DHL or your ‘forwarder’.
@Philips_Support_N what make me confused in this forum the topic is general info about shipment and manufacturing but you did not reply to any one unless you ship already
Again when you are planning to ship to backers in saudi arabia
Philips is pushing every one to avoid dealing with it in future.
Please update when you are going to ship to saudi arabia ??
yes the next batch is for UK, Dubai, Norway, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia and other countries. This is the list we gave yesterday to our forwarder for the new shipment (those are Backerkit numbers).
Please do not comment if you do not understand what has happened here, this is a specific situation for a small amount of UK backers. This is nothing to do with crowdfunding expectations.
1.) Our units shipped in january
2.) According to screeneo, there was a shipping mix up and units that were for US ended up being given to backers who backed LATER than us
3.) We have been extremely patient and understand that there are unprecedented things happening globally.
4.) We have been told for the past 2 weeks that there will be an update tomorrow. Then tomorrow. Then tomorrow. Then tommorow…etc
5.) We were then told that our units, that we should have received in January have shipped and that due to “data protection” they refuse to set our minds at rest that our units have actually shipped.
6.) Yesterday, in a flippant comment we’re now told that we won’t be getting our units, despite assurances for the past 2 weeks that we would.
7.) Even the sticky post said “all forgotten backers below XXX will get priority”.
I don’t understand. My backerkit number is 11607390 which is lower than the 15 numbers listed as the next UK batch. Yet my indigogo contribution number is 8574 so above the 4000 number not included in current batch.
So what does this mean for me?
How do I view the Backerkit number? It seems you guys aren’t doing this properly by using the contribution ID from Indigogo…backerkit shows no relation to order number.
for your information this list is for the new batch. not the one that is being controlled by DHL in Germany. Also, the backerkit numbers are random, not in order.
Come on man. It was obvious that releasing just backer numbers would not break any laws. It was stated by myself at the time minutes after they posted saying they couldn’t.
honestly I’ve been following this and I am aware of what is going on. I understand that people are recieving stuff who back way later than you and me, but that is the reality of the situation. Name calling and cursing will only bring up your blood pressure.
That being said, I’d apologise if I made the situation worse for you by replying. That was not my intention.
